Cristina Lorenz-Hansen, MSW, LCSW, CFCS
I am a compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 17 years experience. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Florida International University and a Masters in Social Work degree from Barry University.
I am licensed clinically in both Georgia and Florida. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults struggling with various challenges such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship conflicts and mediation, crisis management, women’s issues, grief and loss, and trauma resulting from physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse.
I also have strong experience working with couples struggling with premarital concerns, issues within communication, emotional disconnect, poor management of conflict and affair recovery work.
I Support women through various stages of life, including motherhood, perimenopause and menopause, as well as pre- and post-partum experiences.
I have completed Levels 1, 2 and 3 Practicum Training in Gottman Methods Couples Therapy. I also am a Certified Foundational Clinical Supervisor through NASW GA Chapter and am an active member of NASW.
I use an Integrated Approach in therapy using models of treatment such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, strengths based modalities and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am fluent in Spanish and English. I am passionate about helping and empowering others with an emphasis on one’s ability to be resilient despite obstacles and hardships always meeting clients where they are at.
